Chances Community Gaming Centre Chilliwack is set to open its doors November 1. -- Consider job opportunities at the Gaming Centre The building exterior is being finished, and interior fixtures are being installed, said Howard Blank, vice-president of Great Canadian Gaming. They opted to go with the 'Chances' branding for the new gaming centre, measuring 28,000 square feet at Olds Drive and Young Road. Word around town is that it's iconic Canadian band, Chilliwack, or possibly its founder Bill Henderson set to perform. Read more...

Internet giant Amazon is creating 100 new jobs thanks to locating what it calls a fulfillment centre in Delta. Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services announced Monday (Sept. 17), the 200,000-square-foot facility will be the second of its kind in Canada. The other one is located in Mississauga, Ontario. "We are excited to expand our fulfillment network to British Columbia, bringing new jobs and continued investment to the country while improving the experience of shopping on Amazon.ca for customers," said Brennan Weber, site leader for ACFS in a press release.
